Discover Taj Adeyemi’s story of Valencianismo
Taj Adeyemi is a Nigerian Valencia CF fan who had been living in Canada for over a decade. He is currently living in Madrid which makes it easier for him to follow Valencia CF. His passion for the Club and its players traces back to a visit the team made to the North American country.
“In 2017, Valencia CF played against the New York Cosmos in Canada — the first Spanish team to play there — and I went to see them at the airport. I also watched the 2019 Copa del Rey final against FC Barcelona, in which I supported Valencia CF. When we won, I definitely knew VCF was my team,” Adeyemi explains.
During the derby against Levante UD, held at Mestalla, he had the chance to enjoy a unique experience, entering the players’ tunnel and meeting the footballers from the current men’s first-team squad.
“Hugo Duro is the soul of Valencia CF. He has been Valencia CF through and through since the moment of the ‘it touched Hugo Duro’ play. I’m very happy about the win against Levante UD. I’ve met Javi Guerra, Almeida, and Pepelu. It has been a great experience,” says the Valencianista supporter.
Taj had already been to our stadium before. “When I was in Spain for the first time, I came to Valencia and lived near Mestalla. However, I had COVID and couldn’t go to the stadium. I was really eager to go, and in 2023, I returned to Valencia to watch the match against Villarreal CF,” he concludes.
